This work is like no other and can easily, with your support, be used first prior to your teaching vocab, phonics, and grammar. With these students’ mechanical issues addressed, your classroom students will recover. We are currently seeking schools in Rockland, Thomaston, and Waldoboro for one region, and Augusta for another region. From here, we’ll build throughout the state of Maine. This simple FVYD work we do for screening your classroom students begins with you & 15 minutes of your time in 3rd-4th grades or 7th-8th grades. Our non-profit FVYD 501c3 organization will help teachers and parents support their children and youth to simply overcome their educational challenges – that promote stressors in all our life. This work will relieve those anxious times that can sicken our youth. We work to promote “well health” instead with empowerment of self-esteem and success in education with their own recovery of their reading skills.

Teachers: we at FVYD know it was, “never your fault” that today 40% of your students cannot read with grade-level proficiency.

About FVYD

At Future Visions Youth Development, Inc., a 501 c3 non-profit nearby in Maine, FVYD is not a medical or education program. It’s an essential program for schools that fills that gap. WE KNOW it is essential that FVYD addresses those healthy eyes in your students who do not currently read effectively so that you can teach them. We, FVYD, also know from years of research studies that some of your students who struggle with reading still need working responses for mechanical reading skills and to perform reading-required movement for fluency and comprehension. Together, & with supportive FVYD tools and a specific global protocol to wholly address these issues and empower them to work well, we move forward from one school to the next. Many of your students in the elementary schools have worked very hard but have yet to have much reading success to date. This will change with FVYD in your Schools- help us get there!

Services we Provide

1. Vision Evaluation:

We provide new reading skill evaluations to identify eye movement issues & recover those necessary for reading, as lack thereof may hinder reading progress. Our team of experts uses extended vision working tools and trains other licensed optometrists to apply our techniques to assess & activate students’ visual skills required to read.

2. FVYD Does NOT Do Medical Eye Examinations:

Our clinical staff will review the screening protocol & FVYD checklists. After student selection, they will also include their extended visual evaluations to provide the eyewear tools used in this student reading skill empowerment work. Our FVYD ED-tech direct-service delivery with the students begins now!

3. FVYD Tools Include Eyewear for Training:

We provide specific tools to meet each student’s needs directly for this simple FVYD work. Every tool used is purposeful as designed to recover the movement, timing, agility, accommodation to distance, and response to print size that is necessary, required & essential to read. Reading skill recovery is the focus of our incredibly good work. Our qualified opticians will ensure that each student receives the ideal eyewear solution for their unique needs.

4. FVYD Supports Teachers:

(Call your Superintendents to provide FVYD services in your schools)

We identify those students who need our help to recover their reading skills. Our FVYD work will advance reading grade level efficiencies & promote better student inclusion for improved peer equality. Then our teachers can teach them all they wish to learn.

5. Learning Programs:

FVYD then applies what has been developed as a specialized, focused learning platform delivered in 15 minutes a day, 12 weeks in duration in schools by ED-techs. Then we FVYD leave the schools and finally transition the student for the next two weeks into a school-provided reading protocol that drops the print size back to school use levels. FVYD collects its anonymous data and moves onto the next school and region.
